"For the most part, hitting cars with sledgehammers is not going to improve their performance. And the same goes for our bodies."
-Dr Adams
He was talking about mutation. Dr Adams is my evolutionary biology teacher, and something he is doing must work, because I've started to see evolution in everything. Including my Book of Mormon reading. It's pretty exciting. I am also convinced that the teachers in the biology-related departments are the funniest on campus. Their tests can be brutal, though. And I have two exams this week to study for. I like to study for at least 12 hours for each science test, so that means I would like to pull an additional 24 hours out of nowhere this week to study...nevermind test-taking time. Oh well.
My cell biology teacher shared
this mother's day video with the class. It's wonderful.
In other news, I have been called to be an FHE group leader. Again. Yesterday we had 20 people at FHE and I was the only group leader (of three). I reported to the co-chairs, and apparently they're going to be reorganizing groups. I hope they make them a little smaller, because right now there are too many people to keep track of. But does anyone have suggestions of ways to meet all the people in my group and how to run FHE this summer? I don't really like FHE, so I don't know that I have good input. I also don't have a whole lot of extra time. What worked for your FHE groups?
