Ten Days
That's how long it is until my flight home. But how do I spend my days? Good question.

I started my job last week. I'm doing weekend custodial in the Wilk, and I spend the majority of my time there thinking about how temporary the job is and about how I get 13 2/3 cents a minute. That's .22778 cents a second. Sometimes that doesn't seem like enough, but I also think about the muscles I'm developing and that helps a bit. Sometimes.

My computer finally came back from the repair place on Thursday evening. I am so excited to have it back and working again. It makes everything so much easier, truly. While it was gone, I spent a lot of time reading. It's hard to get used to having downtime to read for fun. I feel like I should be putting the book away after 10 minutes to go do something more important, but I'm learning. Last week I finally finished The Brothers Karamazov, which I've been wanting to read for a while. And the week before I read The Poisonwood Bible for the book club some of my friends are forming. We meet this week to talk it over and choose a book for August. Any suggestions?

ten days?!? already? i've got the opposite problem, actually twice over... i've got tons of stuff to do, packing, cleaning, etc, and no time to do it in, cause i'm taking care of the babies and regular life stuff, and i feel like i have to get it done asap, and i still need a lot of stuff so i can't pack it yet. and i get paid 0 cents per minute, that's .00 cents per second, so it's not much fun that way either, though i am building some muscle, a toddler's vocabulary, and rayna's belly! i'll see you in 10 days though! sounds like you read a lot "heavier" books than me. i really enjoy light reading (aka junk).

yeah, sorry, that's what its like to clean up after other people. if you want a better job you have to go ask for one; i'd recommend talking to some of your teachers about whether they know anyone needing a teaching assistant or grader. also, visit the job board daily and apply for LOTS of jobs. you may want to brush up on your application/resume and interview skills (i was the employment specialist in my ward so i can email you some info. if you are interested).

i've read lots of good books lately. one we really liked in my book club was 'these is my words: the diary of sarah agnes prine'. you also might like 'jonathan strange and mr. norrel'. check my goodreads.com page for more ideas. welcome back to the art of reading for fun, i hope you get to enjoy it for a bit before school hits again :)

Hooray for non-dead computers! Glad you were able to get it fixed; hopefully it didn't cost too much.

I recently read the "Uglies" series. Not bad for a fun read.
